Just so you know in case you want to try Dauntless first. You shouldn't play it to see if you'll like Monster Hunter, because those are two different games.

WebNov 27, 2024 · I feel that the difference is that Monster Hunter has more depth in the hunting aspect. Things like traps, tracking, other flora and fauna, items, etc exist. Reason is rather simple actually: MH is so "technical" - Choose mission choose food choose gear and items to support, go on mission for 5-20m, go back to town, check quest check deliveries - and repeat at choose mission.
