WebbThe Shared Inquiry Method is a pedagogical approach to teaching reading, listening, speaking, writing and critical thinking. It can be used with pre-readers in kindergarten as well as with sophisticated philosophers in adult reading groups. The purpose of the Featured Speakers Workshop is to expose JALT participants to the Shared Inquiry Method. WebbShared inquiry helps students engage. This teaching approach requires a team effort. Instead of imparting knowledge, we work with our students to ask questions, sort through evidence, and draw conclusions. Shared inquiry requires students to communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and think critically and creatively.
